Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Nikolaus Linsler

Full Professor for Neurosurgery and Chairman, Medizincampus Oberfranken, Bayreuth

In general, my team is interested in developement and implementation of novel technologies such as robotics, augmented reality and virtual reality in surgical daily routine in cranial and spinal neurosurgery. Additionally, my team focus in intraoperative RAMAN-spectroscopy and genetic and epigenetic findings in brain tumors. Furthermore, the motor and language mapping with transcranial magnetic stimulation for surgical planning as well as for rehabiliation are of interest for us neurosurgeons. Finally, the development and evaluation of new minimally invasive surgical techniques approaching difficult skull base pathologies und pituitary tumors is in my focus.

  • Robotic-assisted Cranial and Spinal Neurosurgery and Stereotaxy
  • Augmented reality in cranial and spinal Neurosurgery
  • Virtual Reality in surgical planning and education
  • Epigenetics and molecular findings in intraoperative specimen with RAMAN-spectroscopy
  • Language and motor mapping with transcranial magnetic stimulation
  • Minimally invasive skull base surgery and pituitary surgery

  • Minimal invasive endoskopische endonasale Schädelbasischirurgie und Orbitachirurgie
