My research is focused on magnetic resonance imaging, in particular on diffusion-weighted imaging and quantitative susceptibility mapping. We develop new pulse sequences, post processing schemes, but also focus on the underlying theory.

Zunächst wird ein synthetisches Datenmodell erstellt. In Kooperation mit den Teilprojekten A01, A04, D04 und D05 wird dieses Modell validiert und angepasst, sowie durch echte Messdaten ersetzt, sobald diese vorliegen. Darauf aufbauend werden zur Verringerung der Messdauer bildgebender Radartechnik in EmpkinS verschiedenartige Verfahren zur Verbesserung komprimierender Abtastung erforscht: verteilt komprimierende Abtastung, adaptive komprimierende Abtastung und auf komprimierende Abtastung hin optimierte Radartestsignale.
